Cars Hyundai are equipped by alternating current generators. Depending on model and updating generators of various capacity can be established. Capacity is specified on the identification tablet of the generator.
The generator with the built in regulator of pressure is included into system of gymnastics of the storage battery which includes the storage battery and a control lamp with conducting.
The generator is equipped by six built in diodes (three "positive" and three "negative"), reformative an alternating current in the constant. Therefore through a conclusion "In" the generator the direct current stands out.
Besides, pressure of a current of gymnastics developed by the generator is regulated by the monitoring system of pressure of the storage battery. The basic components of the generator are a rotor, статор, выпрямительный the block, brushes, bearings and a pulley of a belt drive. In щеткодержатель the electronic regulator of pressure is built in.

       THE PREVENTION
At installation of the additional equipment check up, whether there is enough capacity of the former generator; if necessary establish more powerful the generator and the battery.

The generator is set in motion from a cranked shaft through клиновой a belt. The rotor of the generator with an excitation winding rotates in a motionless winding статора with the frequency twice exceeding frequency of rotation of a cranked shaft of the engine.
On coal brushes and contact rings of the generator through an excitation winding the excitation current proceeds. The magnetic field is created.
Magnetic field position in relation to a winding статора constantly changes according to a direction of rotation of a rotor. Thanks to it in a winding статора the variable electric current is developed.
As the storage battery can be charged only by a direct current, the alternating current will be transformed in constant in the rectifier on диодной to a generator payment. The pressure regulator changes a current of gymnastics inclusion and deenergizing of a current of excitation depending on degree заряженности batteries. Simultaneously the pressure regulator supports pressure of the battery to the constants equal 14 In irrespective of frequency of rotation of a cranked shaft of the engine.

Security measures at repair and generator service  
Before to perform any works on system of gymnastics of the storage battery, it is necessary to familiarise with following security measures.
At works with elements of system of an electric equipment in a motor compartment necessarily disconnect a cable of "weight" from the negative plug of the storage battery.

       THE PREVENTION
At a detachment of a wire from the negative plug of the storage battery the data from memory of the electronic block of management of system of injection and a protective code of a radio receiver is erased. If the radio receiver is coded, before switching-off it is necessary to be convinced that to you the protective code is known. Without it after connection of a food the receiver will not join.

Do not mix cables of a regulator of pressure and the generator. Before switching-off mark with their sticky tape.
Do not disconnect the storage battery or a pressure regulator at the working engine.
Do not remove the generator at the connected storage battery.
At carrying out of electrowelding works necessarily disconnect the storage battery.

The scheme of check of a power failure on a target wire of the generator is shown on fig. 7.4.
Check is carried out for definition of serviceability of a wire between a conclusion "In" the generator and the plug + the storage battery on a power failure on a wire.
Establish a key in the ignition lock in position OFF it (is switched off).

       THE NOTE
For definition of reliability of connections of a wire at check do not touch both conclusions and their connection.

Attach плюсовый a wire (+) the digital voltmeter to a conclusion "In" the generator, and a minus wire (–) the voltmeter to the plug + the storage battery.
Voltmeter indications read out at the working engine, the included headlights, the electrofan of salon and other consumers of the electric power.
Pressure on the voltmeter should be 14 Century
If the measured pressure differs on 0,3 In it specifies in malfunction of conducting. Check up the wires connecting a conclusion "In" the generator through a fusible insert with the plug + of the storage battery.
Check up conducting on easing of connections or change of colour of a wire from an overheat. Eliminate malfunction and repeat check.
After check allow to the engine to work idling, then switch off headlights, the electrofan of salon and other consumers of energy, switch off ignition.

Check of a current of return of the generator
Check is spent for the purpose of definition of conformity of a current of return of the generator to rating value.

The scheme of check of a current of return of the generator is shown on fig. 7.5.
Before check execute following checks and if necessary eliminate malfunctions.
Check up serviceability of the storage battery established on the car.

       THE NOTE
At check of a current of return of the generator the storage battery should be partially discharged. At completely charged battery the result of check will be inexact because of insufficient loading of the generator.

Check up a tension of a belt of a drive of the generator.
Establish the ignition key in position OFF it (is switched off).
Disconnect a wire from "the minus" plug of the storage battery.
Disconnect a wire from a conclusion "In" the generator.
Attach the direct current ampermeter (with a limit of measurements 0–100) consistently to a conclusion "In" and to the disconnected target wire of the generator. A wire from a conclusion – the ampermeter attach to the disconnected target wire.

       THE NOTE
Because of the big current strength reliably tighten both connections. Do not use clips of type "crocodile".

Attach the voltmeter (with a limit of measurements 0–20) to a conclusion "In" and "weight": плюсовый a wire (+) the voltmeter — to a conclusion "In" the generator, and "a minus" wire (–) – it is reliable to "weight".
Attach a tachometre for the control of frequency of rotation of a cranked shaft of the engine, attach a wire from the negative plug of the battery.
Leave a cowl opened.
Be convinced that the voltmeter shows pressure of the storage battery. If the voltmeter shows 0 the possible reasons are a wire breakage between a conclusion "In" the generator and the plug – batteries, перегорание a fusible insert or bad connection with "weight".
Start up the engine and include headlights.
Include a headlight of headlights and the heater fan on the great speed, sharply increase frequency of rotation of a cranked shaft to 2500 mines-1 and fix on the ampermeter the maximum current of return of the generator.
The ampermeter indication should exceed maximum permissible value (see more low). If it more low at a serviceable target wire of the generator, remove the generator from the car and check up it.
Maximum permissible current of return of the generator, And, not less:
The generator 70 А.... 49,0
The generator 90 А.... 63,0

       THE NOTE
The rating value of a current of return is specified on the tablet fixed on a casing of the generator, therefore current value of a current of return can differ from the nominal. In this case include headlights to discharge the storage battery.

Upon termination of check of a current of return lower frequency of rotation of the engine to idling and switch off ignition.
Disconnect a wire from the negative plug of the storage battery.
Disconnect the ampermeter, the voltmeter and a control tachometre.
Attach a target wire to a conclusion "In" the generator.
Attach a wire to the negative plug of the storage battery.

       THE NOTE
After engine start-up зарядный the current quickly decreases. For reception of true maximum value of a current specified above operation it is necessary to spend, spending as less as possible time.

Check of adjustable pressure
The purpose of the given check is check of working capacity of an electronic regulator of pressure.

The scheme of check of work of the built in regulator of pressure is shown on fig. 7.6.
Preliminary execute following checks and if necessary eliminate malfunctions:
– Check up serviceability of the storage battery established on the car;
– Check up a tension of a belt of a drive of the generator.
Establish the ignition key in position OFF it (is switched off).
Disconnect a wire from "the minus" plug of the storage battery.
Attach the digital voltmeter to
To conclusion S (L) the generator and to "weight" (плюсовый a wire (+) the voltmeter — to a conclusion S (L) the generator, and "a minus" wire of the voltmeter (–) – to "the minus" plug (–) the storage battery).
Disconnect a target wire of the generator from a conclusion "In".
Attach the direct current ampermeter (with a limit of measurements 0–100) consistently to a conclusion "In" and to the disconnected target wire of the generator. "A minus" wire (–) the ampermeter attach to the disconnected target wire.
Attach a tachometre for the control of frequency of rotation of the engine and attach a wire to "the minus" plug of the battery.
Include ignition and be convinced that the voltmeter shows pressure of the storage battery. If the voltmeter shows 0 the reason is chain rupture between a conclusion S (L) the generator and плюсовой the plug (+) batteries or перегорание a fusible insert.
Start up the engine, switch off headlights and all consumers of the electric power.
Increase frequency of rotation of a cranked shaft approximately to 2500 mines-1 and fix the voltmeter indication at reduction of a current of return of the generator to 10 And or less.
If voltmeter indications correspond to the values specified in tab. 7.5, the pressure regulator is efficient.

If voltmeter indications differ from norm, the pressure regulator is faulty.
Upon termination of check reduce frequency of rotation of the engine before idling and switch off ignition.
Disconnect a wire from "the minus" plug of the storage battery.
Disconnect the voltmeter, the ampermeter and a control tachometre.
Attach a target wire to a conclusion "In" the generator.
Attach a wire to "the minus" plug of the storage battery.

Remove a drive belt, having displaced the generator to pulleys of a cranked shaft and the water pump.

Remove the generator (fig. 7.10).
Generator installation is spent in an order, the return to removal.
Establish the generator into place and insert a fastening bolt (a nut of a bolt not to turn).

Displace the generator aside from the engine and define number of remote washers (a thickness of a washer of 0,198 mm) which are necessary for establishing between a forward rack of a casing of the generator and a forward cover of the block of cylinders (a backlash And on fig. 7.11). The number of washers should be such that they have not dropped out at отпускании).
Establish washers (backlash), wrap a nut of a bolt and execute other operations of installation.

Dismantling
By means of a screw-driver uncover the generator from outside contact rings.

Remove щеткодержатель, having turned away fastening bolts (fig. 7.13).
Remove the adjusting plug of contact rings.
Turn away a nut of fastening of a pulley, remove a pulley and the remote plug.

Turn away four coupling bolts (fig. 7.14).
Расстыкуйте a cover from outside a drive, a rotor and статор.
Assemblage is spent in an order, the return to dismantling.
Check of a technical condition
Rotor. Check up an integrity of a winding of a rotor. Check up chain presence between contact rings. The lowest resistance of a chain between rings specifies in short circuit presence. In the absence of a chain between rings or short circuit between them replace a rotor.
Resistance should make nearby 3,1 Ohm.
Check up an excitation winding on absence of short circuit on "weight". Be convinced of absence of a chain between contact rings and the rotor core. In the presence of a chain replace a rotor.
Статор. Check up a winding статора on presence of breakages. Be convinced available chains between wires of conclusions of a winding. In the absence of a chain replace статор.
Check up a winding on absence of short circuit on "weight". Be convinced of absence of a chain between a winding and the core. In the presence of a chain replace статор.
Replacement of brushes

Replace brushes at deterioration to a line of limiting deterioration (fig. 7.15).
Отпаяйте a brush wire, take out an old brush and a spring.
Insert щеточную a spring and a new brush in щеткодержатель.
Insert a brush so that the distance between a line of limiting deterioration of a brush and an edge щеткодержателя made 2–3 mm.
Solder a brush wire to щеткодержателю.
